Wine and Art- North Sierra Wine Trail

North Sierra Foothills Vintners to “Wine and Art” April 22 and 23rd

Enjoy fine wines, olive oil, delicious appetizers, music, art and more on the weekend of April 22nd and 23rd, from noon to 5 pm each day. One ticket ($25 in advance from northsierrawinetrail.com and participating wineries) provides admission and tasting at all 11 wineries on the North Sierra Wine Trail.

The Trail extends from Oroville southeast through Bangor and on to the north Yuba communities of Oregon House and Dobbins. As the most northern part of the Sierra Foothills Appellation, the North Sierra Foothills offers a variety of microclimates and terroirs, and is a significant emerging wine region in California. These 11 small wineries, mostly family-owned with their own vineyards, offer a wide variety of selections and styles.

Foothills favorites like Zinfandel, Syrah, Barbera and Sangiovese will be poured with the more traditional Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, plus Malbec, Mourvedre and even Pinot Noir from the higher elevations. Chances are your glass will be filled by the winemaker and/or owner.

This is a once-a-year opportunity to taste the bounty of the North Sierra Foothills and to enjoy the beauty and magnificence of this historic region. Find new favorites, make new friends and experience the unique bounty of the North Sierra Foothills on April 22nd and 23rd.
